Welcome to the Waterside Residents Association Inc.

Waterside Canals Estate is located in Dudley Park, on the coastal side of the Peel Estuary bridge close to central Mandurah. It is approximately 80km south of Perth in the Peel Region of Western Australia.

Waterside offers premium canal living close to the beach and the extensive Peel Estuary. The tranquil canal estate is conveniently located within walking distance of Mandurah City, the popular foreshore, the new town bridge, and is a short drive to the freeway and railway to Perth.

The Waterside Residents Association was created to provide a range of services to the residents and visitors to Waterside by enhancing the security and amenity of the estate. Whether you are a visitor or a resident in the estate, we hope you find this website useful and informative.

Mandurah Estuary Bridge

In January 2024, work began on a major $148.8m project to build a duplicate of Mandurah Estuary Bridge alongside the original. The aim was to provide for future road expansion between Seascapes and Mandurah, expanding the existing three traffic lanes to six.

As a legal requirement of the project, noise walls were planned to be installed on both sides of the expanded highway to protect residents from the noise of the additional traffic. The plan specified a very limited section of noise wall be built with many residents left without any noise mitigation at all.

After 12 months vigorous campaigning by local residents, and with the assistance of Waterside Residents Committee, an extra $12.5m was finally allocated by the State Government to fund building of the remaining noise walls.

Our local residents committee would like to extend their appreciation to the State Government, local ministers Lisa Munday and David Templeman, Councilor Daniel Williams, Main Roads and Georgiou for working with us to restore a quieter environment to the area both sides of the bridge for residents and visitors alike.

We are still working with the project team to ensure the build matches community expectations and to act as a link between residents and the project.
